Vindication Season One, Episode One Recap
I won't spoil too much for any newcomers to this series. However when you begin to start a season like this from the very beginning, you begin to start seeing how there is Faith, how there is Redemption, how there is fulfillment in a Faith based series like Vindication. This series is one I started watching, then soon after I got my mom to watch it, and then shortly after we got my dad to watch it. I want to say that my parents and I love it very much. This show needs more seasons. I told the creator of this show that if each season with every episode of each season was turned into a book, I would read it because it's that good.
Some of the things that I took away after re watching season one, episode one is that life is short. We need to not take who we have in our lives for granted. I have Jesus in my heart, I have my parents, my siblings, my nieces and nephews, people in support groups that deal with Hydrocephalus like me, people in my life like Joseph Neal, Red Stainbrook, and their ministries Christian Media Spotlight, and Red's Room that became my second home and my forever home, because of Joseph Neal and Red Stainbrook, I've been able to utilize my gifts, my talents in how they have let me, and I've been to excel in opportunities that God has given me to use because God has given me the opprotunity to utilize what I'm created to do.
In looking back at the very first episode of Season One, I also realize this. I realize that as I watching Ben Davies talk to Todd Terry, I realize that in the instance of them talking about something that was difficult to re watch because of the situation Ben Davies or in this case Derek found himself in, I realize that we are put in difficult circumstances at times. We find ourselves in the midst of trials. We find ourselves wondering is there Hope for someone like us, is there hope for something that is beyond our control? These are questions we are ask ourselves when we feel like Hope is lost, when we feel like we have to live in Fear and live in Doubt, although you know what? God takes that fear and doubt away, He takes it away because the fear and doubt is what the Enemy would want us to believe.
When watching this episode again from the very beginning, I've come to the realization that Vindication is more than just a show that can make you smile, laugh, cry happy tears, keep you in suspense, it's a wholesome series for families, for teens, for families who need to know that there is Hope, there is Joy, there is sadness at times, but then there is the Hope of the wholesomeness that allows us to have the abilities to spread Joy, to encourage and share a show like this one with people who may not have even known who God is but after watching, wants to know who God is, so that they can also have that relationship with Christ like we do. If you really think about it, God calls us to be disciples and God calls us to help, to serve, and to pray with and for each other. When we do what God wants for our life it's amazing to see the doors that He opens.
I'd like to think that after I re watched this episode that it gave me a sense of purpose, a purpose to know, to trust, to believe and achieve in a goal of sharing God and His Word, but also to share about why this series is one many people need to see because it's a edifying, bountiful, exquisite ray of Hope that is centered around Faith, Hope, Love, Redemption, Compassion, Friendship, Family, and Joy and much more and so this is a beginning chapter to find the streaming services like Redeemtv, and Angel Studios and watch from the beginning, and watch and find out where this series takes you because where it has taken me, is it has taken me to want to share about it, but it also taken me to where I want to express in my writing to reach people who need to know about Christ as well and so as I finished this first episode again, I really realize that without God, we wouldn't be where we are today in this world.
I want to share two different scriptures with you. The first one comes from 1 John 5 verse 14-15 which says: This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him.
The last one I want to share comes from 1 Chronicles 4 verse 10: Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.
I wanted to end on these two because I think for me it sums up what not only I took from episode one of season one but it also sums up with what I mentioned, in how if we just remember even from the scripture that talks about Faith, Hope, and Love and how the greatest of these is Love, we can then begin to see that yes while we were still sinners, Christ died for us and we see God will always have a plan in place for us, and He will always be there for us and to catch us when we fall and help us grow.
