Vindication Season Two, Episode Two Recap

In this episode of Vindication called Turmoil, we see how Becky Travis visits Doris who is Detective Gary Travis's mother. I want to start off by saying though that this episode involves Candace Kirkpatrick who works with Detective Travis. I also want to say that this episode had many twists and turns. This episode who involves another detective named Tomlinson seems to be this guy who wants to help. I think for me, he just wants people to think it, so he doesn't show his true colors. We also see Katie and her son Noah, and without giving too much away, they appear to visit and as Katie's mom opens up as to she came in contact with, well it's hard to find a balance in how things will go. I for one, loved rewatching this episode.  The first reason, because Gary Travis, tries to reconnect with Kris Tanner and Kevin, who appeared with His police department in Season One. The second reason I love this episode is just because even though there may be turmoil with people, it...

Vindication Season Two, Episode One Recap

When rewatching episode one of season two, I had a little bit of mixed feelings in a good way. I want to start this off by saying that God loves all of us and He'll move mountains for us daily. I don't want to give too much away because I want to have people see the show for themselves. There was a mom who had two young children, both of them girls. She was a single parent. So many things for this mom, made me feel bad for her as these two detectives, cops if you will weren't taking her feelings into account, instead they came to Gary Travis with everything that they assumed they knew about this single mom with her two young girls. Gary did eventually try to get them to do their jobs as requested, but I will say the mom was thankful that Gary took her seriously. Now I want to jump into where Becky, Gary's wife goes to help ladies in prison. We first find her, talking with someone, who seems willing to hear about God, willing to let Becky Travis pray with her. That is u...

Vindication Season One, Episode Ten Recap

I first want to say after watching episode ten of season one again, it wasn't easy. This episode had trials, it had tribulation. It mainly had it all, to where this was when you really saw God at work with the cast of this series. When you have someone who has a hard time putting their Faith in God, and trusting Him, you don't give up on that person, but instead you pray with and for them. You do that, because you know it's the right thing to do and you know that you'll feel good in the end. I want to share a scripture with you because this episode is called Deliverance, so I want to share a scripture that I felt really connects with what this series is doing in our lives as we watch. John 16 verse 33: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” In this scripture, we see that there were trials and tribulations for both Becky and Gary Travis's daughter Katie, and Kr...

Vindication Season One, Episode Nine Recap

Alright, so lots to say with this episode called Dark Web. First of all I want to say that there's so many twists and turns. I also want to start off with saying that there can be some really frightening people out in this world. The daughter of Becky and Gary Travis in this episode, well let's just say she got in with the wrong friend group, and it lead to some very serious things that made her dad act on in trying to figure out what exactly happened. In this episode Kris who is played by Venus Monique, well she does something that let's just say she shouldn't have as she was putting her own life in danger. The times that we spend trying to figure things out on our own, is when we need God to help us realize that we are not alone. Philippians 2:5-8 says:  In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself noth...

Vindication Season One, Episode Eight Recap

This episode was hard to watch again. The episode title is called Face To Face. It is hard when it involves the people around you, knowing that those people around you, you might not come face to face with. It's a time of reconciliation, it's a time of having the pieces mend to where this isn't hatred in the other person's heart, so that the bond between the person can come face to face with the person and forgive. Forgiveness is a hard thing to do. We say things, we didn't mean. I'd like to think the son in the episode didn't mean to do what he did, but thought it was the only right thing to do, and he has to live with that conviction. The daughter of the Detective Travis, well her own situation of what she had to deal with in the episode is hard, but her mom and her dad, didn't give up on her, rather than showed her, they were there for her. It is always a great thing to know that we have people in our corner. The people who love us for who we are and...

Vindication Season One, Episode Seven Recap

Alright, so we have a lot to unpack. I want to start off with how this episode was hard to watch the first time. I felt like crying when I picked up where I left off again when starting this episode a second time. It's so hard to know that when you need somebody whether it be a family member, parents, a friend that you should go to them, but also to God for help. I want to start off by saying that this episode called Convictions was not a easy episode to watch, let alone how a lot of people face many trials or in this case convictions of their own. When we realize we have an issue or a problem with someone, we go to that person directly to try and work things out and then we bring somebody else in, if that doesn't work one on one with them. It can be hard to figure out when to share something you might see happen in your own neighborhood or in your own community. When the mom was worried about her daughter not coming home or answering her text messages, a parent's greatest...

Vindication Season One, Episode Six Recap

When we are in trouble, we normally go to someone we can trust. We go to somebody that can help us. I think more importantly, we go to Jesus because Jesus can help us under any circumstance we face. If we left our burdens and our worries, we would have a much happier place in life. In general, we would be better off to leave our worries, our anxieties, our burdens, our troubles, life's most difficult circumstances behind and leave those things in God's Hands to take care of. We often find that sometimes the situation we are in, can be hard to get out of. When I was re watching episode 6, it made me realize that this couple in the episode only wanted to help people who couldn't help themselves and help them get out of situations that were hard to get out of. There is good and there is bad. We have to use our judgement at times to know the difference between the two, and so that we can make a sound judgement in knowing what is right from wrong. I think any person who was get...
